Cervical screening is a way of preventing cancer by finding and treating early changes in the neck of the womb (cervix). These changes could lead to cancer if left untreated.
Cervical screening saves lives.
The examination only takes a short time and is the best way to reduce your risk of cervical cancer. For this reason, we would encourage you to book an appointment with a member of our nursing team at your earliest convenience.
If you wish to have a chat with us before booking the smear appointment then please contact the reception team at Ashwell Medical Centre who will organise this for you.
