At Ashwell Medical Centre we very much support the NHS screening programme and encourage all women who are eligible to participate. We know that screening can detect changes in the breast before they develop into cancer and this has contributed towards the prevention of lengthy and difficult treatments whilst it has also helped to save many lives.
As such we would encourage you to consider taking up your breast screening invitation as soon as possible. Whether or not you take up your screening is your choice but if you have not responded to letters from the breast screening service but would now like to make an appointment you can do so by contacting the Bradford breast screening unit directly on 01274 365221.
If you would like to discuss any concerns regarding this screening with a member of our nursing/clinical team please contact the practice on 01274 490409 to make an appointment.
